My Silly Sensory Journal
This journal is a silly and serious place to write about the experiences that fill a child's life.
Bursting with imaginative and engaging illustrations with prompts to encourage journaling and self-awareness. Even the youngest children enjoy the illustrations and discussing their experiences and insights.
Some of the topics included are lumps, bumps and chunks in ice cream, bears and itchy clothing, worms covered in sunblock, coats and swimming with turtles, white rice and red ants, brushing teeth with fireworks, sitting on porcupines, thunder and lightning storms inside supermarkets, sumo wrestlers and blue blankets, snakes socks and even a pirate's treasure!
"What foods do you like?"
"What do you like to wear in the summer?"
"What do you like to wear in the winter?"
"What's it like for you to play in sand?"
"Are there sounds or smells in school or on the bus that make you uncomfortable?"
"What's it like for you when you smell a flower?"
"Have you ever snuggled with a heavy blanket?"
Journaling has been shown to reduce stress and create mindfulness and self-awareness.
Giving a journal to a child is a gift that creates stronger, healthier and happier kids.
The world is full of experiences. Some things we like and some we don't. Let's write all about it!
